Abstract:In the 2022 edition of the curriculum standards for compulsory education chemistry, combustion-related exploratory experiments are compulsory for students and are very important for students to understand and use combustion. The tetraphosphorus decaoxide from the red phosphorus combustion experiment in the textbook will escape into the air and cause pollution. When the white phosphorus is ignited by oxygen, the white phosphorus will shift easily due to its light weight, which leads to a low success rate of the experiment. Therefore, the author improved the experiment by using test tube, copper plate, beaker and so on. The success rate of white phosphorus combustion was greatly improved by using the thermal conductivity of metal in hot water Take advantage of interdisciplinary principles such as the reduction of pressure after combustion in closed containers, i. e. , to prevent escape and absorb tetraphosphorus decaoxide in the device. The whole set of device has achieved good results in operation, safety, phenomenon observation and explorability.
