In view of the preparation and properties of ethyl acetate, one of the 18 mandatory experiments stipulated in the "General High School Chemistry Curriculum Standards (2017 Edition)", the specific content of the experiment in the current textbooks of the People's Education Edition, the Su Jiao Edition and the Luke Edition and the shortcomings in the existing experimental improvement research on the preparation of ethyl acetate were analyzed and compared, and the experiment was further improved from the aspects of catalyst selection, reaction conditions and device based on the principles of feasibility, scientificity and life, so as to improve the efficiency of the preparation experiment.
