The preparation and properties of chlorine experiment is the key content of middle school chemistry experiment teaching. The 2019 edition of the new textbook experiment equipment is complex, cumbersome operation, series device is not conducive to students observe experimental phenomena, students are difficult to conduct experiments, and the experiment is not environmentally friendly. The author designed the device for making chlorine gas and its properties by using waste materials in daily life which is easy to operate, obvious phenomenon and green environmental protection. On the basis of ensuring the scientificity of teaching material experiment and improving the feasibility of experiment, it improves the students" innovative thinking and green consciousness to a greater extent.
