Abstract:Electrochemical corrosion of metals is a practical application of galvanic cell principle. In conventional teaching activities, shallow learning is the majority, and students hold many misconceptions. The teacher created a series of progressive experiments: demonstrating the electrochemical corrosion of iron in class, improving the electrochemical corrosion of iron, designing the product verification experiment of oxygen absorption corrosion of steel, measuring the concentration of dissolved oxygen, and exploring the pH range of acid solution suitable for classroom demonstration. By providing students with opportunities to explore experiments independently, students can have a deep understanding of the principle of electrochemical corrosion. Through experimental activities, students can learn deeply, experience the process of concept construction, and explore teaching strategies to comprehensively cultivate students' core literacy in chemistry.
